Our mission.
We didn’t start out trying to build a company. We were just trying to stop feeling like our own money was slipping through our fingers.
The pattern was always the same. Money would arrive — then within days, it was gone. Rent, bills, keeping a roof over our heads. One income covering the whole cost of living, the other trying to hold everything else up, and whatever was left over, if anything, just sat there, unsorted, until it quietly disappeared into nothing in particular.
We didn’t need someone to tell us what we’d already spent. We needed something that gave us discipline — a reason to actually decide where money went instead of watching it vanish. Confidence — knowing the essentials were covered before anything else touched that money. And motivation — something we could look at every month and actually see ourselves getting somewhere, instead of just hoping we were.
So we built the thing we wished existed. MoneyMap, so every payment has somewhere to go the second it arrives, with a plain-English reason why — no more wondering where it went. The Planner, so “one day I’ll sort this out” turns into an actual, honest number you can watch move, month after month.
We built it without connecting a single bank account — not because it was easier, but because we didn’t want to hand our financial life to a third party, and we didn’t expect you to either. Every number in here is one you typed yourself.
We’re not a funded startup chasing a growth target. We’re the people who use this ourselves, every single month, for our own money — which means when something’s confusing or wrong, we’re the first to feel it, and the most motivated to fix it.
We know what it feels like to hit zero a few days after payday and not really know how. If you’ve felt that too — this is what we built instead of staying stuck with it. And we want it to help anyone get that same control, whatever their income looks like, whatever situation they’re starting from.
